2025 End of Year Message

By Gen John D. Lamontagne, Commander, Air Mobility Command, Scott Air Force Base, IL

This year flew by, and it was action packed. Air Mobility Command is indebted to each of you across the Total Force—active duty, Air National Guard, Air Force Reserve, and civilian personnel. With profound gratitude, we reflect upon the past year and all we accomplished together as a team. Being part of this extraordinary organization is a distinct privilege, and we are deeply honored to serve alongside every one of you.

This year, we witnessed firsthand the extraordinary impact of your hard work, from supporting presidential travel and Southern Border security to playing a critical role in the Haiti sustainment operation and reaffirming our commitment to our allies and partners in support of American interests. Operation MIDNIGHT HAMMER showcased our strength, and the Department Level Exercise continued to validate our global reach. Your silent professionalism speaks volumes and exemplifies the strength of Air Mobility—a team of teams in every theater.

Equally important, we witnessed your unwavering dedication and resilience. Our Airmen are the heart of our force and the foundation of our success. We remain focused on ensuring you are exceptionally well-trained, equipped, and supported to meet any challenge. Our Mission of ensuring nuclear capability, enhancing situational awareness, and bolstering combat effectiveness through Rapid Global Mobility remains our top priority. And our Commitment to the Air Force, Combatant Commands, and our Nation remains absolute. We will continue to foster strong partnerships across the Joint Force, with our allies, and with our industry partners.

As we gear up for another busy year, let us take the time to recharge, reconnect, and renew our commitment to the critical mission we share. Thank you for your continued service and dedication.

We look forward to 2026. We expect it will include a number of challenges. With your help, we’ll convert them into opportunities to continue to build the Air Force that our Airmen deserve, and that our Nation needs.
